A Super Lice strain has emerged which are resistant to common lice treatments (shampoos). LiceGuard’s RobiComb kills Super Lice on contact.

Lice resistance to Permethrin was reported as early as 1990 by doctors John D. Edman, Medical Entomologist, and John M. Clark, Insecticide Toxicologist, both at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.
Studies in recent years have asserted that up to 75% of lice strains are resistant to Permethrin and Pyrethroids, rendering treatments that contain those agents ineffective.

Very few products on the market can successfully claim both safety and efficacy like the RobiComb.

Endorsed by dermatologists, doctors, and school nurses across the country, LiceGuard’s signature product, a lice zapping comb called RobiComb is clinically proven and effective; it’s also different from anything else in the market. Utilizing proprietary Micro-Charge Technology, RobiComb’s electronic pulse zaps lice on contact and eliminates lice and eggs. Used five minutes weekly, it can and should be used to detect lice and prevent future outbreaks.
LiceGuard’s suite of lice treatment products also include:

LiceGuard® No Nit Kit that is non-toxic and pesticide free. The kit contains a shampoo, magnifying glass, and micro-tine comb. Lice eggs are covered in a sticky substance which binds them to human hair follicles. LiceGuard’s shampoo loosens that grip and allows lice and eggs to be picked out of the hair easily and effectively.

LiceGuard® Lice Repellent is one of the few non-toxic repellents on the market. It utilizes a proprietary repelling ingredient developed over a decade ago, tested extensively, and protected under trade secret. With a few squirts, it prevents lice with 24 hour protection.

Lice resistance is creating a vicious cycle: frustrated parents overusing pesticide-based treatments that don’t work – resulting in dangerous levels of toxicity in children.

The mounting persistence of lice infestations coupled with the repeated use and lack of efficacy of treatment products has resulted in a range of complaints in recent years fielded by the Food & Drug Administration (FDA).
From January 2005 through October 2010, the FDA’s Adverse Event Reporting System documented complaints involving:
  • 12 deaths relating to prescription-based pesticides Lindane and Malthion.
  • 6 deaths (including 2 suicides) relating to OTC pesticide Permethrin.
  • Other reports described conditions such as shortness of breath, hallucinations, and nausea.

RobiComb doctor recommended in the Journal of American Academy of Dermatology

“As a dermatologist, I have not been particularly impressed with the efficacy of available chemical pediculicides in the treatment of head lice. I chanced upon what has now become my treatment of choice for head lice, the LiceGuard® RobiComb. This non-chemical therapeutic modality is not only painless and odorless, but also has been efficacious each of the six times I have used it. Furthermore, therapeutic resistance does not seem to be a consideration because the mechanism of action is fundamentally electrocution.” Kenneth S. Resnik, MD

I was recommended this product by a pediatric nurse, and I used it for the first time last night. I actually managed to sleep more soundly, without feeling like my head is on fire. This products needs to be more broadly advertised because it is really amazing, and will save people so much money on useless, toxic products. Not to mention the countless hours spent laundering to the extreme. I was actually booked to go to a professional head lice clinic, which is very expensive, but a last resort out of desperation. Really appreciate this amazing technology. So clean and simple to use. I will definitely use the RobiComb as part of maintenance as a safeguard to my work in schools and home health. Please, please spread the word, as there really is a very serious breakout of resistant lice, and this product will save your sanity.
    Thanks a lot!!
